Men may think it is the height of fashion, however the trend of wearing loafers without socks could leave all of them with fungus-infested feet, experts are warning.

Not wearing socks causes sweat to seep into the shoe’s leather, which turns the within the shoe in a breeding ground for bacteria.
This, put together with high moisture levels, generates a bad smell and in some cases triggers the itchy fungal infection known as athlete’s foot.
Online pharmacy Chemist Direct has reported a surge in sales of foot deodorants and perfumed insole to mask unpleasant shoe smells.
Pharmacist Omar El-Gohary says that his team have obtained a stable flow of enquiries from customers over the past month asking about how they may minimise foot odour when wearing shoes without socks.
‘While traditionally we always view a spike in sales since the summer foot ware season begins, the most up-to-date fashions often affect demand for certain treatments, he said.
As the feet contain more sweat glands than somewhere else within the body, as a result them more prone to sweating. But 除臭襪 say there are many of ways to avoid this.
Mr El-Gohary explains: ‘Wearing the dexrpky21 socks will help absorb sweat and keep the feet dry.
‘People should use cotton over nylon, and ensure they are changed daily to prevent a build-up of bacteria.
‘Try alternating between different shoes daily to make sure that they have ample time to dry off between use.
He added: ‘If you still need problems consider utilizing a deodorant on feet, a foot spray, or medicated deodorising insoles.
